This Pineapple and Yogurt Dip Recipe is actually an ode to the pineapple, the most refreshing of summer delights! If you care for your heart and eyes, simply fall in love with pineapple. Under its rough exterior is hidden a treasure trove of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, including potassium, copper, manganese, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, beta carotene, thiamin, B6.

This dip is light, refreshing and healthy with just 15 calories per tablespoon. Yogurt, besides being a protein-boosting and bone-building food, is one of the best natural probiotics that takes care of your stomach and strengthens the immune system.

Pineapple and Yogurt Dip recipe is a winning combination of delicious and healthy. Cool, creamy and sweet, it makes a great centrepiece for a dinner table served with a platter of assorted fresh fruit. Also tastes great with fruit kebobs, cheeses and crackers on a dessert buffet.

With only 5 ingredients and 10 minutes active time to whip it up, it’s great for satisfying those sudden sweet tooth urges in a healthy way.

Ingredients:

1+1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 cup fresh or canned pineapple, finely chopped
2 teaspoons brown sugar or honey
A few drops vanilla essence

This Is What You Do:

Toast coconut flakes on a hot skillet for 2 minutes, let them cool. Mix yogurt, chopped pineapple, sugar/honey, vanilla and coconut flakes.

If using canned pineapple you can skip the sweetener.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve chilled with fresh fruit, cheeses or wheat crackers.

  1. I remember when first time I got to taste pineapple raita in bangalore. I instantly fell in love with that and finished it by myself with sharing. I love this combination. Perfect snack too, kids also enjoy this. Great share. Like the addition of coconut here.
