This week I made these super simple and deliciously healthy grilled fruit kebobs with my daughter. It is simply a stylish take on your routine fruit salad. When I invited my daughter to help me make some fruit salad she didn’t seem much thrilled but when I changed the idea to grilled fruit kebobs, suddenly she was excited and very willing to help.Kids love to do messy things, assign them to peel and destone the fruits. She even ate some fruits which she usually doesn’t like to eat 🙂 Cut the pieces for them and then make them thread the fruit bites onto the skewers. Grilling should be done for a very brief time so that the fruits don’t get mushy.

For Grilled Fruit Kebobs :

2 mangoes
2 peaches
12 lychees
2 bananas
1 slice pineapple
2 tomatoes, cut into four
1/3 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
12 skewers

This Is What You Do :

Peel and cut the fruit into bite size pieces. Remove stones and seeds.
Heat the grill, thread fruits through the skewers. Place a few at a time on the hot grill for 1-2 minutes. Turn as soon as they get grill marks, grill this side for another 1-2 minutes.
In bowl mix honey, cinnamon and lemon juice for the dip. Serve fruit kebobs straight from the grill or chilled with honey-cinnamon dip.
