“Work is the meat of life, pleasure is the dessert.” B.C.Forbes
I have tried this recipe for Banana Almond Cake with Caramel Sauce with different variations in flavour; with cinnamon, lemon juice and zest, orange juice and zest, all spice and walnuts, and every time the outcome has been very pleasant. This recipe has been tried and tested for more than a dozen times, most recently I made it for new year’s party with figs and walnuts, and it was a hit with the guests. The heartwarming goodness of the aromatic, creamy caramel sauce and the richness of the banana cake are a real indulgence.
